Obituary of Diana Marie Campbell

Diana Marie Campbell, 47 year resident of Ben Lomond, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief battle with cancer on March 10, 2019, at the age of 78. She was born August 26, 1940, in Ontario, California to Eugene and Ann Warren.

Diana began college as a pre-med student at UCLA. She later switched her major to engineering in which she earned her degree.

Diana began her career as an engineer at Lockheed Martin, then later owned The Tall Shop in Santa Cruz. She changed careers again, and worked for many years at the Scotts Valley Veterinary Clinic. Upon retirement, she became the volunteer treasurer for Valley Churches United Missions.

Diana was a voracious reader who also enjoyed music, cooking, gardening, fishing, and playing Bunko with her friends. Her desire to help animals led her to volunteer for adoption events in order to place dogs in loving homes. She also did volunteer work to provide food and vaccines to the pets of the homeless in Santa Cruz and Salinas.

Diana was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, John Campbell, and her cherished brother, Michael Warren, of Arizona. She is survived by her step-children: Karen (Campbell) Watson, of Washington, and Dan Campbell, of Oregon, as well as 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Diana’s ashes will be scattered at sea in a private ceremony. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Valley Churches United Missions: 9400 Hwy 9, Ben Lomond, CA 95005
