Obituary of Gary Richard Garrick

Gary Richard Garrick, age 69, passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, December 28, 2019. He was born in Schenectady, NY, raised in San Mateo, CA and lived his duration in the beautiful coast side of Santa Cruz, CA. After graduating from Hillsdale High School, and the College of San Mateo in San Mateo, CA, Gary went on to pursue a higher education in his passion of Horticulture at UC San Luis Obispo. Eventually, in the pursuit of love and a family, Gary was blessed with three children, and did a wonderful job trying to be the best Dad he could be. Summer camping, adventures, and learning fun new things were always on the agenda. Gary worked and retired from Lockheed in Sunnyvale. This allowed him to enjoy his retirement evenings in his garden, relaxing by the outdoor fire-pit. Gary leaves behind this three adult children, Jon, Jenny and Gary Jr., and he will be dearly missed by his sisters, Sharon, Kathleen and Stasia. Gary was proceeded in death by his parents, Joseph and June B. Siemont. Funeral services will be held at Pacific Gardens Chapel (1050 Cayuga Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95062) on Saturday, January 25, 2020 beginning at 11:00am. A viewing will be held at 10:00 am. A burial service to follow after the service at Felton Cemetery (449 Felton Empire Rd, Felton, CA 95018).
