My dear, sweet Auntie Pat,
You were so special to me and to all who knew you. Your kind heart and beautiful smile will be with me forever. You never forgot my birthday, and always brought me a special trinket or collectible you knew I would love. Family was most important to you and you made all of us feel special. A beautiful soul inside and out. Love you, Angel Auntie.

I first met mom in December 1979. First thing I noticed was her great smile and how easy it was to talk to her. We shared such magnetism it was like I knew her my whole life. As my time with the Martin family, so would my relationship with everyone.
Every Christmas mom would have everyone over for a Christmas party and we had such a great time. Besides all the great food, and presents, we sang Christmas songs. That was the highlight of the evening. Another great function, was going to the football and water polo games. Mom brought her cowbell and the players played better. When my kids were really young, I would take them to the Capitola Inn where mom worked. She was so happy to see us. Her simile radiated seeing all of us. The kids loved going there and after we would get Blizzard ice creams!
In conclusion, I have known everyone in the Martin family for 42 years. Thank you mom, for making everything so great.

My sweet mother,
I wanted you to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day because it was you that always stood by my side, my mom, my friend. Although you said, “I can sit with the family…are you sure?” I wouldn’t have had it any other way. You looked beautiful on that sunny day in June in your pink satin dress, pearlescent earrings, silver heals and rosy cheeks!
We had a great time getting ready too! Eating chocolate kisses while getting our hair done! A wonderful day my sweet mother.

To my nana:
This is the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through and I can’t wrap my head around knowing you’re not a visit away anymore. But you are no longer suffering and I get joy in knowing that. You meant the whole world to me and I am so blessed to have had a grandmother in my life who cared so much for everyone and everything around her. You loved putting a smile on everyone’s face and always made sure everyone was taken care of. All the Sundays going to your little mobile home and watching the Giants, tennis, or Disney on your bed are some of the most meaningful memories I will cherish forever. You watched me grow up and I am fully the person I am today because of the impact you had on my growing up. Driving down to cheer on all the Wharf-to-Wharf runners and our hot chocolate spot, the annual cards you made all the kids for our birthdays filled with pictures and fun memories. I remember finally memorizing your phone number for the first time when I was younger so I could call you whenever I wanted and talk about our day and what we were watching on tv! You are no longer a call away anymore but I know you will be in my heart and watch over me whatever I do throughout my life and I promise to make you proud. You are my favorite angel princess. Miss you already, love you more.
