I am sorry that Cathy and I are unable to come to Jimmy"s service today. We are just getting over Covid and concerned that we may pass something on. We meet Jimmy in the early 90's when he came to work for us. We worked together for more than 20 years and remained friends from that time on. I wanted to share how he got the nickname Elvis. In September of 2001 I called a friend of mine in Maui and told him I needed a short getaway and wanted to come visit him. He said wait until Halloween they close the streets in Lahaina and it's a big party. Asked Jimmy if he wanted to join me and he said "heck yes"!! I said we should go as ZZ Top or something goofy. Had just seen a movie about the flying Elvis s and mentioned that to Jimmy. He said "thats us". This was the first of three consecutive years of being The Flying Elvis's. The following year we went to New Orleans and the next year to Las Vegas. There was always at least 5 to 7 of us who went and as you can imagine a great party. The nickname as Elvis has always stuck with Jimmy although I have always known him as Jimmy the Joker. To this day he is in my contacts as The Joker. There have been many memorable times we have shared. You will not be forgotten friend. As George Strait sings "The last good bye is the hardest one to say". Rest in Peace Brother". Roger
